Transcorp Power Limited, one of the power subsidiaries of Transcorp Group, has reinforced its position as a leading power company in Nigeria by securing multiple prestigious awards at the 2023 World Business Outlook Awards.

The company’s outstanding performance and commitment to excellence were recognized in three key categories.

The Company whose 972MW installed capacity power generating plant located in Ughelli, Delta State, makes it one of the most important power plants in the country, has been named Most Sustainable Power Company Nigeria 2023 and Leading Power Generation Company Nigeria 2023.

The Company’s former Managing Director/CEO, Christopher Ezeafulukwe also won the CEO of the Year in the Nigerian Power Sector award.

The awards were announced at the 2023 World Business Outlook Awards, which held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Marriott Marquis, Queen’s Park, Bangkok, Thailand.

The awards are a testament to the Company’s unwavering dedication to providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions and acknowledges the company’s pivotal role in meeting the nation’s growing energy demands.

They also highlight Transcorp Power Limited’s commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Ezeafulukwe’s award is due to his visionary leadership, which has been instrumental in driving the company’s success and innovation in the energy landscape.

Following a successful time at Transcorp Power Limited, Ezeafulukwe was appointed Managing Director/CEO of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) in September.
